Come and join the fantastic wordsmiths of Porous Thesaurus for rollicking rhyming, tongue-twirling twisters and spellbinding storytelling like you’ve never known before! Each afternoon of the festival brings you four stupendous spoken word artists delivering three hours of interactive performances and workshops for all the family.
Helen Johnson – poet and poet herder- hostess to the Porous Thesaurus will be weaving her lyrical magic into the fold.
Dan Simpson- Writer, performer, producer and former Canterbury Laureate, Dan will perform his own brand of high-energy family-friendly spoken word, and lead super speedy poetry workshops (suitable for ages 7+) on both Saturday and Sunday.
Dommy B – Award-winning, festival favourite, Dommy will perform two enthralling shows – ‘Spark the Goblin Wizard’ (Sat) and ‘When Trolls Try to Eat Your Goldfish’ (Sun).
Spoz – a previous Birmingham Poet Laureate, who has performed at Glastonbury, Shambala, Cheltenham Literature Festival, Larmer Tree, as well as in front of his mum will be wooing the crowds on Saturday afternoon.
Steve Tasane – Sunday only – Instantaneous performance poetry, with chanting, jumping, waving and much joining in for all the family! . “Like being blasted in the face with a water cannon – absolutely vivid” The Guardian.
